Take a tour of the Fordyce Bathhouse.
The Fordyce Bathhouse used to be a place where people would come to relax. It operated from 1915 through 1962 and is filled with tons of historical artifacts. It now serves as the visitor center for Hot Springs National Park, but it’s not your traditional visitor center. You can watch an orientation movie at the Fordyce Bathhouse and take a tour of the entire facility if you want. There’s plenty to see in this gateway to the park.
Hike up to The Mountain Tower.
There’s no better way to see all that Hot Springs National Park has to offer than by making your way up to The Mountain Tower. It will take you some time to hike to it, but it will be well worth the effort. The park is so beautiful, especially when you get the chance to walk through it before checking it out from a bird’s eye view.
See the hot springs.
Of course, we couldn’t leave this one out. It’s no surprise that the biggest attraction inside of Hot Springs National Park is the hot springs. Even if you’re only able to make a quick trip to the park, it’s worth it for this destination alone. The peaceful hot springs have been drawing visitors to the park for more than a century, and you’ll quickly understand why once you see them for yourself.
