The tulips might be the main attraction, but they’re not the only spring flowers you can find at Garvan Woodland Gardens this time of year.
The gardens are also home to daffodils, hyacinths, azaleas and a variety of spring annuals. In fact, it’s the largest spring floral display between Dallas and Memphis! Early spring rains have made the display particularly colorful this year; for daily updates on what’s blooming in the gardens, you can visit their Facebook page here.
On April 5, resident horticulturist Bryan Carlan will also be hosting a Bonsai workshop where gardeners can learn how to practice this ancient Japanese tree cultivation technique. This is a great opportunity to not only tour the gardens’ spring flower display, but also enjoy a fun and informative educational experience.
